Doris has been a nurse since 1984. After studying as a laboratory technician for four years at the Escuela de Hospital Evangélico in Siguatepeque, she worked as a nurse for many years at various clinics in town. She began serving as a nurse at Clínica Betania when it first opened in the basement of Iglesia Bautista Betania in March 2003, seeing the need to help those in the community who have limited resources. Her favorite part of working at Clínica Betania is caring for children who come to the clinic. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and tending to her home. Doris and her husband, the pastor of Iglesia Bautista Betania, have been married for 35 years. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
