jan-feb-mar 24

The Lord has continued to bless us with support through the beginning of 2024, and we are grateful for the many servants who have come to serve with us during our first ministry quarter.

February was a busy month, starting with a group visiting from Liberty Baptist Church the first week. They ministered via Vacation Bible School and women’s ministry at Iglesia Bautista Betania (Betania Baptist Church) and repurposed part of Clínica Betania's waiting room, providing a new and improved space to be used as a children's procedure room. One of the team members, Jeremiah, painted a mural of Noah’s Ark in this room so that our young patients could receive treatment in a friendly and engaging environment.

On February 8-9, the clinic personally hosted a parasite treatment day, offering weight and height screening as well as vitamins to 199 children, jump-starting their school year with a clean bill of health.

We are grateful to Alexandra Areh, a family nurse practitioner from Texas, who came to help us with a general medical brigade from February 22-23. With her by our side, we were able to treat and share the Gospel with 207 patients.

Two practicing Honduran nurses, Sudy and Mirla, individually donated their time during the months of February and March as part of their professional practice. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them and would love to expand our services to allow for more on-site training of healthcare providers who are studying in Honduras, the United States, and beyond. This would be a mutual blessing, both providing more in-person support at Clínica Betania and enabling nurses and doctors in training to learn and practice in a real-world context.

From March 7-11, a group composed of students from Liberty University and members of Liberty Baptist Church in Virginia visited and engaged in evangelism and biblical counseling at the clinic. We are so grateful for their eagerness to proclaim the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ.

Thank you for praying for Nikoah Crowe, as she continues to receive medical treatment. We praise the Lord that her health is improving! Please continue to pray for her recovery, the Lord's provision to all needs, and the plans He has for her life.

In total, in these first three months, we were able to provide medical care for 499 patients and dental care for 49 patients. Praise God for the opportunities He provides for us to be witnesses and servants to all these people.
